Rare Springfield M1 Garand Navy National Match .308
Description:
Rare Springfield M1 Garand Navy National Match .308 (7.62x51 NATO) in excellent condition. With the official adoption of M14 rifle in 1957, the 7.62x51 became the standardized cartridge for the United States Military. However, due to some glitches and delays of production of M14's the phasing out of M1 Garand took some time. Since the Navy had a much lesser need for rifles when compared to the Army and the Marines, they decided to re-chamber as small amount of the already available M1's for the 7.62x51 round. This is an great example of such rifle as only the best rifles were used for National Match competitions.
All correct USGI parts, the stock has correct varnish finish which was standard for Navy rifles, not import marked, no rust or pitting on metal, no cracks on grips, excellent bore, functions fine.
I'm not a dealer. I'm a private collector and I'm currently thinning out my collection. 3 months layaway with 25% down is available. I accept personal checks, but due to the POLICY OF MY BANK it takes 7 business days from the day of the deposit for them to clear.
