HRA M1D Garand, Sniper Rifle, CMP gun, Original Scope & Mount

Description:
              This HRA M1D Garand was sold by the CMP Sept. 12, 2014, and shipped from CMP South, Anniston AL. We understand that early CMP rifles like this are in better condition than later offerings. That seems to be the case with this rifle. The stock and handguards are matching color and condition, they appear to have been together forever.  At some point the stock was glass bedded, surly an accuracy improvment. The Springfield barrel installed is dated Nov. 1952. This barrel remains in excellent condition, having a bright shiny bore with a Throat Erosion gage reading of just 3.0 and a Muzzle Wear reading of under 1.0, a new barrel. Many of the component parts are shown listed on the provided data sheet. These non-Springfield made rifles are field modifications and were built from the best parts available, not necessarily matching. The CMP letter proves that this is such a rifle, not a civilian build.
          The rifle will ship with an original scope mount, note the staked knob pin and locating pin. The repro mounts are just press fit and not staked.
          The scope is an original that was re-furbished in 2016. The tube had some minor nicks that show under the new bluing. Original windage knobs have the “L” marked low on the turret and not centered as do the Repros. You can see some slight corrosion on the turret bases. The scope remains clear and sharp.
          The CMP letter will be included along with a copy of the data sheet.

SHIPPING: 
Shipments are made via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, Insured, with Signature required. Shipping and Insurance cost for this Long Gun is $80.00.

FIREARMS:
          Modern firearms, post 1898, can only be shipped to a Type 01 Federal Firearms License address.  Curio-Relic firearms, as defined by the BATF list, can usually be shipped to a Type 03 Collectors License address.
A signed valid FFL license copy will be required for shipment to the license address.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded

Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
