WW2 1944 Inland M1 Carbine w/ U.S.G.I.Sling
** Nice Clean Example of the "War Baby" ** SOLD
Description: This is a nice clean, all-U.S.G.I. example of the famous M1 Carbine fielded by the U.S. Military in World War 2, Korea, and even Vietnam to a small degree. This particular carbine is an Inland-made example manufactured in 1944, serial number 5360443. It likely served in World War 2 and then Korea, as it has been thru a U.S. Arsenal rebuild/re-work at some point post-WW2. As you can see from the picures, it has a great look to it and all of the metal parts still wear their original factory parkerizing. While the stock and many of the small parts have been swapped out or replaced during the rebuild, the receiver, barrel, and trigger housing are all the original Inland parts. The bore in this M1 Carbine is excellent, bright and clean and free from any pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections. All of the controls are in perfect working order and the action is slick, closing into battery perfectly. This is NOT a worn-out import-marked gun, it was likely sold thru the CMP in the 1960's or 70's. We have no doubt that this Inland M1 Carbine would shoot just as well today as the day it left the factory in 1944. If you have been looking for a nice representative example of the U.S. M1 Carbine for your collection that you can also enjoy at the range this Inland would be an excellent choice.
