Description: The M1 Carbine is an Iconic weapon and was manufactured by many companies during and after the WWII. Plainfield acquired surplus GI parts whenever they could obtain them. As a particular surplus GI part became less available they arranged for commercial production made to GI dimensions. This ensured compatibility with surplus GI parts and made the parts of the Plainfield carbines almost 100% interchangeable with their surplus GI equivalents. By around 1968 almost all parts were commercially manufactured. On this particular model the stock is Beech Wood and has a sling attached. Included with this are several vintage pieces of equipment that were issued by the U.S. Government. An original WWII canvas carry bag, Vintage Ammo Belt, Canteen and M4 Bayonet made by Conetta with M8A1 Scabbard.
