WW2 Japanese Type 99 Rifle by Nagoya Near Excellent w/ Mum and Monopod
Description:
Serial #(Series 5) 64976, 7.7mm Arisaka, 26" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some faint traces of freckling within the grooves. This is a Nagoya Arsenal marked rifle with intact 'mum, that has a completely matching bolt, including the firing pin, and retains 92-95% of the original blue, with silvering at the muzzle, on the high edges and projections, and some scattered areas of mild freckling, most noticeably on the bolt handle. Some further gray fading is present on the bearing surfaces of the bolt, and the rear sight is still equipped with the anti-aircraft "wings". The stock and handguard are in good shape, with some handling marks and surface blemishes scattered throughout the original varnish finish, as well as a single chip along the top of the finger-groove on the right side. The cleaning rod is still in place, as is the folding monopod. This is a fine-near excellent Type 99 overall and would make a great example for a collection. FFL or C&R;
