"Spanish FR8 Bolt action rifle .308 (R43904)

"Serial No. FR8-36618, Made in 1951 by Fabrica De Armas La Coruna. This firearm started out as a model 1943 Mauser Short Rifle in 7.62X57mm but was then converted to 7.62X51mm in 1951 by the installation of a 10"" CETME assault rifle barrel assembly. The ""FR"" stands for ""Fusil Reformado"" (""Converted Rifle""). Overall condition is excellent & the bore is bright with strong rifling. The wood has the dings & dents that one would expect from a military service firearm but the finish on the metal parts is very good. Comes with a Spanish military surplus sling& CETME bayonet with scabbard.
