Description:
For sale we have a custom Mauser bolt action rifle built by Roger Biesen in .375 H&H Magnum. This rifle feautres a finely checkered walnut stock with exceptional contrasting grain, fully checkered steel gripcap, ebony forend tip, shadowline ckeepiece, and a black Decelerator recoil pad.
The receiver is an unmarked Mauser 98 style action with Oberndorf drop belly magazine, polished and jeweled side ramps, jeweled bolt, extractor, and floorplate, two panel bolt knob checkering, and 2-position flag safety. Trigger is set at a very crisp 2.5 pounds. The barrel is 24" with a ramped hooded beaded blade front sight, island rear sight marked for 50 yards, and barrel mounted swivel stud.
This rifle is in excellent condition with only a very few light handling marks. It includes a set of QD mounts with 30mm scope rings. Roger Biesen, son of famed stockmaker and gunsmith Al Biesen who created many of Jack O'Connor's rifles, passed in 2020. The barrel of the gun is marked Roger Biesen - Gunmaker - Spokane.WN
