Swedish Mauser 6.5 x 55 mm, Husqvarna 1943 M38, NRA VG/Exc Condition, All Matching!
Description: Available for Sale is a Pristine Condition M38 SWEDISH MAUSER made by Husqvarna from the most collectible years of 1941 thru 1944. This M38 is dated 1943. The 6.5 x 55 mm cartridge is considered one of the most accurate military calibers ever designed. Rifle is all matching. A Husqvarna only has major components that have matching numbers. The bolt, receiver, bolt parts, stock, and handguard are stamped matching and not electropenciled. Other smaller parts will have a tilted crown such as floorplate, barrel bands, etc. The bolt release which is a minor component on the gun does have a number, so it was likely replaced at the arsenal and never scrubbed due to being a minor component of the rifle. This rifle exhibits almost no wear and tear or handling marks that are often seen on surplus rifles. The stock disc indicates the rifle has likely not had a barrel change as the 1,2,3 has not even been stamped yet. The rifle does have an arsenal stamp just behind the trigger guard indicating it has been to an inspection station for inspection and rework at least once in its lifetime. The stamped mark is "Cg" which means it was inspected/reworked at the A2 Tygstation Goteborg, Sweden. The upper handguard sight slots, and the stock handgrooves show absolutely the finest sharp lines indicating this rifle has never been sanded or refinished after leaving Sweden. There is a slight hairline crack just behind the receiver that was there 20 years ago and has not grown in nearly 20 years of firing the rifle. Both the stock and handguard show matching stamped numbers to the rifle, "358". (See Pics) The metal parts show very strong blueing and very little wear and tear on the superb Swedish steel components. The barrel looks brand new with strong lands and grooves, which correlate with the bore disc condition on the right side of the buttstock. The muzzle on this rifle is NOT threaded, as some collectors prefer to collect the non-threaded versions of the Swede rifles. If you are looking to upgrade the condition of your collectible Swedes, this rifle will certainly be a good fit for your Husqvarna variants of your Swedish rifle collection. As most collectors say, Condition, Condition, Condition is what drives the collectability of a surplus military rifle, and this 1943 Husky fits that category of VG/Exc. condition. The front sight blade is taller than normal so that it will shoot accurately at a 100 yard target. Leather Sling is in great condition and comes with an added quick detach swivel.
