As the name implies, the Model 1896 Swedish Mauser was made in Sweden, but some models were made in Germany as well. The Swedish Mauser is chambered in 6.5x55mm Swede and was the primary Swedish service rifle until 1938. These rifles feature two front locking lugs, a 90-degree bolt lift, full-length extractor, fixed ejector, and a three-position safety. Surplus models were imported to the United States in the 1950s and 60s. This model is in good condition, with some scratches and scuffs on the stock.
