Belgian Mauser Model 24/30, 22 Caliber Trainer Rifle, Belgium, Matching! Exc Cond.
Description: Available for sale is a hard to find Belgian Model 24/30 Military Mauser Trainer in 22 Caliber. This rifle is likely the Army version as the metal finish is black in color. The Naval versions are thought to have more of a greenish finish on the metal parts. This rifle is stamped matching on both the receiver and bolt with serial number 606. This rifle is number 606 of 1000 rifles ever manufactured, according to the Robert Ball bible on Military Rifles. The receiver has a "Crown"/"B", over "ABL" and the date of "1952". (See pics) There are two threaded holes in the receiver that were factory made to hold a small aperture sight. This sight is not available for this rifle. The front and rear factory sights are nice and very original and functional. The rear sight ladder is graduated from 25 to 200 meters, which would be correct for a 22 Cal trainer rifle. This rifle is heavy at over 9 pounds. Overall, the rifle is in Very Good condition. The stock is a nice piece of Walnut with very few scratches or dings. The metal finish does show some use wear from handling and firing. There is some wear showing on the metal parts of the rifle.(See Pics). The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. (See bore Pics) I will only ship to the lower 48 states. No sales to the state of CA. Shipping will be a flat $50 in the lower 48. This rifle is C&R eligable. An FFL or C&R license is required for transfer. Make sure this rifle is legal to own and transfer in your state before purchasing. I accept USPS Money orders and Certified checks as payment.
