Argentine Model 1909 Mauser Rifle by DWM
Description: Serial #K9405, 7.65mm Argentine, 29' barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a splendid looking, all matching rifle (including the cleaning rod) with "scrubbed" receiver crest, that retains 95-97% of the original blue finish on the barrel, with some gray fading near the muzzle, and the original armory bright finish on the receiver and matching bolt. The action and bolt still have noticeable remnants of an old, armory-applied coating of protective Cosmolene. The trigger, rear sight slider and spring, bolt stop, floorplate release and screw heads retain most of their original brilliant fire blue as well. The bolt, bayonet lug, which has a scarce, unmodified rail, and rod have a bright gray patina with some thin freckling just visible. All of the remaining markings are crisp and clear. The stock rates fine, with some scattered handling marks and blemishes, and the Argentine cartouches are crisp and clear. This is a fantastic example of a desirable, non-import marked, Argentine Model 1909 rifle, and rates excellent overall.
