"Rare Turkish Model 1874 Type B Peabody-Martini Rifle 11.43x59R "".45 Turkish"" (AL10037)

Description:
"

NSN, circa 1880's, 11.43x59R, .33"" round barrel. One of 600,000 examples made to copy the British Martini-Henry for the Ottoman Empire by Providence Tool Company in Rhode Island. Barrel and receiver are a light grey patina with scattered areas of oxidation. Bore is good with some frosting and light pitting visible in the grooves. Left side of the receiver has legible factory marking with Turkish markings on upper receiver and barrel. Stock has expected nicks, dings and scratches noted, these rifles were used past WWI! Action functions correctly with a tight lock up.
