Marlin Model 57M .22 Magnum Excellent
Description: The Marlin Model 57M is a .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, magazine fed, lever-action rifle made from 1959–1969. The Model 57M utilized the famous "Marlin Levermatic System", created in the 1950s. The "Levermatic System" differed from the traditional lever-action rifles, such as the Marlin 39A, in that it employed a cam-and-roller system giving it an extremely smooth and short lever motion to reload a new cartridge. This cam-and-roller system was originally invented by Kessler Arms Company for their "Lever-Matic" shotgun. Following Kessler's dissolution, Marlin licensed the idea and began producing rifles using a similar design. This Model 57 features a smooth walnut stock with fluted comb, black grip cap with white spacer, black checkered butt pad with white spacer, gold trigger, 24" Micro-Groove barrel, adjustable elevator v-notch rear sight, ramped dovetail brass bead front sight, 15+1 capacity, Weaver scope mount. This gun is in very good condition with some extremely light wear, has a sharp/clean bore and is in perfect working order. With the famous micro-groove barrels they are known to be very accurate rifles. This particular gun is Pre-1968 as there is no serial number from the factory.
