Marlin Model 1895 45-70 Pre-Safety JM Marked Barrel

Description:
This is a Marlin Model 1895 chambered in 45-70 Govt.  This gun bears serial # 22040841 and was produced prior to the receiver safety.  The JM marked barrel is 22 inches long and has the micro groove rifling.  It has the hammer extension for scope clearance.  The rear sight is the buckhorn variety mated to the brass bead fore sight.  The magazine is the ¾ length.  The receiver is factory drilled for scope mounting.  The rifle has its original sights.  The metal is 99% and the wood is 98.8%.  The owner said he has never even loaded the rifle.  True safe queen.    This is a very collectable rifle that if you want you can be the first to shoot.
