SALE PENDING Model 1895CB Standard Marlin Lever Action Cowboy with 26 inch octagon barrel, Chambered in 45-70. Tube magazine capacity is 9 rounds. Walnut stocks, open sights. Purchased new in 2016. This is one of the Marlins by Remington guns. This is also why I had it re-blued. There were no problems with the remington made rifle, except fit and finish. Remington had poor wood to metal fitting, which was remedied by using better wood from an older Marlin without checkering. Remington also shipped the guns with one finish on the barrel, and a different finish on the receiver, fixed by having the whole rifle reblued the same. End result is as good or a bit better than the older Marlins were, I know, I've had them both. Rifle was sent to Nolan Quality Customs in Colorado, 2017, for customizing work. I had the following work done; The straight stock replaced with an older Marlin pistolgrip type, along with the lever and bottom curved hardware in receiver. Had a 1 inch shotgun style rubber recoil pad installed. Had a steel case, mercury, 7/8in x 4in x 14oz Graco recoil reduction cylinder installed into the stock beneath the recoil pad, and had it repolished and re-blued so that everything matches. Rifle comes with scope base, Burris rings, and the hammer offset thumb piece. The rear sight is a black powder buckhorn I like very much. I ended up using it with a scope though. SPECS: OAL-45in, PULL-14in, WEIGHT- Approx 8 1/2lbs. With the recoil reduction system, this 45-70 shoots like a 270, big difference. You cannot see the unit either. This rifle is in excellent, like new condition, There are no issues with metal, or wood, and the bore is still like new, bright, shiny, and sharp. I havn't been to the range much at all in the last few years and the gun has become a safe queen. Please look at the pictures to see the condition. Rifle will be well packed in a plastic case, inside of a box, insured and shipped to your FFL. Shipping will be $45.00 to the lower 48, additional for all others.
