MARLIN ~ 1895 ~ .45-70 GOVERNMENT
Description: The Model 1895 is a 'beefed up" variant of the Model 336 and was designed to handle heavy cartridges as .45-70 Government. As such it is an excellent choice for the hunter who may meet up with something with a threatening nature like bears or some of the "notional" herbivores like moose or bison. This one has fancy walnut stock and has been hunted. The finish is a bit worn and there are handling marks. It dates to 1976. The bore is clean and bright, and is rifled with what appears to be Micro-Groove rifling, the barrel is not marked as such. It does have the "JM" stamp. .45-70 Government Price: $1,499.99 Chambers: 4 rounds Metal Condition: "Good. Barrel and magazine are not blemished, but the receiver has some pitting.
