MARLIN MODEL 1897 LEVER ACTION RIFLE
Description: 24 inch round barrel chambered in 22 S,L,LR. Very good bore, bright with strong rifling throughout. Semi-buckhorn rear and silver blade front sights. Receiver is color case-hardened darkening to a mottled gray-brown patina. This gun suffers poor storage leaving metal surfaces with varying scattered oxidation issues from light freckling to moderate pitting. Some surfaces have been lightly cleaned to thinning finish, other areas left untouched. Straight grip walnut butt stock and forearm are very good with a coat of finish added having some very light crazing and scattered light handling marks.
