1982 Marlin Original Golden 39A in Great Condition

Description: For sale, a very nice Marlin Original Golden 39A .22 lever action rifle. The 39A is best selling .22 lever action rifle of all time in the United States for good reason. They are built with the best materials and they are extremely accurate and reliable. The 39A started life as the Marlin 1891, and thru the years went thru many small design and build changes to become the 39A line of rifles. This example, serial number 18267589, was built in 1982 and was called the "Original Golden-39A". Like all 39A's, it is a take down model for easy storage on trips or backpacking. It is in excellent condition with 95% of the Marlin factory blue finish. There are just a couple of very small spots where the finish has been marred. The Micro-Grooved barrel has a bright bore with sharp rifling. Everything is nice and tight and the gun functions 100% as it should. The Walnut stock set is also in excellent condition. It has some minor handling marks but no cracks, repairs, or chips out of the wood. It is the pistol grip style butt stock with a grip cap and white spacer. This 39A has a factory installed set of sling swivels. This year production also came factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts on the top of the receiver, and drilled and tapped for a rear receiver mounted peep/target sight as well. These are very versatile .22 rifles. It can shoot the .22 rimfire short, long, and long rifle cartridges. If you are looking for a great .22 lever gun this is it. It is a great rifle to hunt small game with or take to the range to out-shoot your buddies. We have priced this to sell!
