Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered in 22 RF caliber with a very good bore. This is a 2nd variation with a tube loading magazine. Most all original blue remains on the barrel and mag tube. Crisp sharp barrel address. Nice case colors remain on hammer, lever and frame with brighter colors in protected areas and on left side of frame. Upgraded sights include a combination front with a Williams blank in the rear and a tang sight. Straight grain walnut stocks are in good condition and appear to have an added coat of finish with a few blemishes on the left side of the buttstock. Hard rubber buttplate. Takedown frame. Nice smooth action. These Model 1891 rifles are most often encountered with octagon barrels. This is a very nice example with a round barrel. Made in 1901.
