Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A. / EST. 1870– MODEL 336 R.C.-,35 REM.”, the right has a “JM” proof. The butt plate is not Marked the lower tang has the serial number. The rifle has beautiful scroll engraving on the barrel, lever and receiver, the flanks of the receiver have game scenes; the right has two bears in a forest, the left has a buck and a doe. The pistol crip cap has a moose. The pistol grip stock and forend are black walnut with checkering.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece black walnut with absolutely beautiful tone. Both pistol grip buttstock, and forend have nice hand cut checkering. The butt stock shows no signs of cracks ,chips, or scratches only very light impressions from handling. The forend shows no signs of chips, cracks, or impressions.
Finish Condition: Bluing on receiver in fine shape no signs of wear or thinning. Bluing on barrel forward of the barrel band is staring to turn a very mid brown. Bluing is missing around the muzzle of the barrel. The magazine tune shows some very small white spots with mild thinning near the end cap.
Metal Condition: No signs of rust, pitting, corrosion, or scratches
Bore: The bore is bright and the Micro groove rifling is sharp. No signs of erosion.
Overall Condition: Engraving is sharp throughout. Factory markings are strong and legible except for the address line. Strong in very good condition, Finish shows some aging. Factory screw heads are sharp. Rifle appears to be mechanically sound.

Custom Engraved Marlin Model 336RC Lever Carbine .35 REM 20" MFG: 1963
Description:
Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A. / EST. 1870– MODEL 336 R.C.-,35 REM.”, the right has a “JM” proof. The butt plate is not Marked the lower tang has the serial number. The rifle has beautiful scroll engraving on the barrel, lever and receiver, the flanks of the receiver have game scenes; the right has two bears in a forest, the left has a buck and a doe. The pistol crip cap has a moose. The pistol grip stock and forend are black walnut with checkering.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece black walnut with absolutely beautiful tone. Both pistol grip buttstock, and forend have nice hand cut checkering. The butt stock shows no signs of cracks ,chips, or scratches only very light impressions from handling. The forend shows no signs of chips, cracks, or impressions.
Finish Condition: Bluing on receiver in fine shape no signs of wear or thinning. Bluing on barrel forward of the barrel band is staring to turn a very mid brown. Bluing is missing around the muzzle of the barrel. The magazine tune shows some very small white spots with mild thinning near the end cap.
Metal Condition: No signs of rust, pitting, corrosion, or scratches
Bore: The bore is bright and the Micro groove rifling is sharp. No signs of erosion.
Overall Condition: Engraving is sharp throughout. Factory markings are strong and legible except for the address line. Strong in very good condition, Finish shows some aging. Factory screw heads are sharp. Rifle appears to be mechanically sound.
