No. 2 with Tang Mounted Peep Sight!
Description: Antique MARLIN-BALLARD .38 LONG Single Shot FALLING BLOCK Octagonal Barrel No. 2 with Tang Mounted Peep Sight! Here we present an antique J.M. Marlin Ballard No. 2 Single Shot Falling Block Rifle made circa 1875-1881 in New Haven, Connecticut. The Ballard design was utilized during the Civil War and retained following the conflict as it was simple and rugged. Though Winchester Model 1866s and 1873s were the latest and greatest in firepower, the Ballard was the sidearm of many during this period characterized by conflict and westward expansion. There is an old chip that formed just behind the frame. Otherwise solid. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 28 inches. Caliber: .38 Long Centerfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail!
