Description: General Specs: Mannlicher, Year 1913, 7x57, 7lb 15oz, Chokes, LOP 14 3/16" Serial Number: 3377 A beautiful example of a Mannlicher Schoenauer European hunting rifle. Built in 1913, it features set triggers and a rotary magazine contributing to smooth feeding of the classic 7x57mm cartridge. Introduced in 1903, the rifle was proved popular with deer and big game hunters worldwide and mentioned often in writings by legendary American writer Ernest Hemingway who also used this model of rifle. This Mannlicher Schoenauer has near perfect bluing and nicely figured stock with cheek piece. Length of pull is a generous 14 3/16" terminating to a metal buttpad with inlet widow peak and bullet trap. The whole gun including the quick detach German Pecar 4x81 scope and 20" fully protected barrel weighs a little under 8lbs. An adjustable set trigger completes this prized rifle, with Vienna and Austrian proofs and date code. This nicely detailed gun will not be with us for long, don't miss out!
