Mannlicher Schoenauer , 1903 , 6.5x54, VERY NICE !

Sold pending   .      For sale is a very  nice Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1903 in 6.5x 54 caliber. It is marked  "Oesterr Waffenfabr" on the left  side of the receiver so I am dating it at pre 1927. It has the 18.5 " barrel with the full length stock , double set triggers and steel  trap door but plate ( sorry no cleaning rods) .It has matching numbers on the barrel, receiver and underside of the  bolt.  It also has a spring loaded  receiver sight , I believe it is a Lyman 36MS . As you open and close the bolt the peep sight slides out of the way . It also doubles  as a blot release . The rifle  is in very good condition. The bore is shinny and the blueing is excellent with some light wear on the heal and toe of the butt plate. My guess the ware is from sitting in a gun cabinet for about 100 years. The wood does have a few  very light handling marks , the worst is a scratch that  can be seen on the right side of the butt stock about an inch long but it is not deep. The checkering is also very good condition . The gun has no chips, cracks ,defects  and mechanical  all works great. It is rare to find one of these in this condition.  Buyer pays $55.
