This is a very nice collectible 99% overall condition 82-C Classic Stainless with numbers matching box and complete set of papers. Only about 600 of these Classic Stainless guns were produced in 1997/1988. They are affectionately know in the Kimber collector's world as the "Book Gun" because they came with a very official looking Certificate (pictured) that gave you the right to pre-purchase Greg Warne's limited edition book "Kimber, Classic American Sporting Rifles" for $95.00. Who knows how many advanced payments were made by customers, but the book never came out and rumors of drafts, manuscripts, photos and other related publication information are on about the same level as Bigfoot sightings. This package features the factory original certificate for the book as well as the test target and owner's manual. A collector's complete package.
