All original, pre-war (1942) Husqvarna Model 46B hunting rifle in 6.5x55. Barrel is 24 1/2, and has a barrel band sling swivel. Has not been drilled and tapped, or otherwise altered. The bore is fair, with areas of roughness, but the rifle seems to be a very good shooter. I put about 15 rounds of factory 140 grain ammo through it, and managed to put all the shots into a cocktail napkin-sized group at 100 yards, which is not bad at all considering the rudimentary sights and my eyesight. The walnut stock has plenty of hunting dings and scratches, but is solid, and is well worth refinishing. The length of pull is 14 3/4" over a Bakelite butt plate with Husqvarna logo. Even with the long barrel and long stock, the weight is only 6 lbs 15 oz. A classic European sporter for the traditional hunter.
