ATTRACTIVE ANTIQUE HENRY RIFLE
Description: The frame has a deep butterscotch color. Barrel is mostly a plum/brown color with what looks like some "blood pitting" on the left side towards the muzzle. Front blade is a replacement but looks good on the gun. Original 900 yard folding ladder rear sight. Rarely does the spring condense into the front of the barrel extension but this one works perfectly. Original sling swivels. Matching numbers throughout. Rifle has been inspected by Benjamin Tyler Henry himself as noted by the "H" on the lower tang. Walnut stock shows some use but still has about 75% original varnish and a very pronounced "Henry Bump". Very good looking gun with excellent mechanics. 7300 serial range. Made in December of 1864. A fine example of a Henry rifle! Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
