EARLY 3 DIGIT SERIAL NUMBER HENRY RIFLE
Description: Desirable early production three digit serial numbered Henry rifle that was manufactured in 1862. 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 RF caliber with a fairly shiny bore. Sights include a German silver blade front. Barrel is without a rear dovetail slot. Brass receiver has a rear sight dovetail slot with an early style folding ladder sight graduated to 1,000 yards. Barrel is plum/gray color. Brass receiver is an attractive mellow aged patina as well as the buttplate. Rifle has been inspected by Benjamin Tyler Henry himself as noted by the "H" on the lower tang. Hammer and lever are a brown/gray. Walnut stock has been lightly sanded and re-oiled with a crack along the grain and a few minor dings. The extractor is missing.
