VERY WELL PROFESSIONALLY MADE REPRODUCTION HENRY RIFLE
Description: This is a high quality professionally made recreation of a late production brass frame Henry Rifle. 24 inch barrel chambered in 44 RF caliber with slightly shiny bore. Sights include a blade front while the folding ladder rear has been replaced with a fixed sight. The barrel has an even plum/brown patina with good markings. Brass receiver has a nice mellow patina. A "W" inspection mark is stamped on the lower receiver tang behind the loading lever latch. Walnut stock is in very good condition and has a sling swivel and the buttplate has the same mellow patina as the receiver. Hammer and lever are a rust brown color. Excellent functioning action. The serial number of 8339 would indicate a manufacture date of March 1865. This is an outstanding reproduction of a New Haven Arms Company Henry Rifle that was professionally made and aged overall and most likely made in the late 20th century. A good looking Henry rifle at a fraction of the price of an original. Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
