Heckler & Koch HK93A2
Description: Heckler & Koch HK 93A2, 5.56 cal. semi-automatic rifle in excellent condition. Rifle is code dated IC (1982). Comes with 3 magazines: the original 25 rd. HK steel magazine, code dated IC (1982) in very good to excellent condition, one new 40 rd. aluminum contract magazine, follower dated 6/1/1976, and one new MKE/Zenith 30 rd. polymer magazine. The 40 rd. contract magazine has slight wear marks on feed lips from function testing, but is unfired. All internals are original HK. Bolt head clearly shows eagle nitro-proof mark with "N" and is date coded IC (1982). Bolt head, rollers, lock piece, locking lever, and bolt carrier show almost no sign of wear, nor does cocking tube support, receiver rails, and barrel extension, The original front sight has been replaced with a Trijicon Front Night Sight insert, (an approximately $80 part). If the buyer prefers an original HK front sight I will happily replace the Trijicon sight with an HK one (about 9$). The rear sight is the original rotating diopter sight, and is in perfect condition. The receiver and cocking tube are near excellent except for slight wear marks on the cocking tube support slot, the lower edges of the mag well, and the edges of the back end of the receiver where the backplate on the stock slides over the receiver (not visible when gun is assembled). The expected brass ding marks behind the ejection port, a signature mark of HK rifle caliber guns, is evident, although very slight (a good indication that this gun has been fired very little). The A2 fixed stock likely did not come with the gun as shipped from the factory. A look inside the backplate shows screwdriver marks on the buffer screws, and the wear marks on the buffer are not consistent with the almost pristine recoil rod assembly and rear of the bolt carrier. I am not sure whether HK imported 93’s in A3 configuration with retractable stocks, but if so I would guess a previous owner may have swapped the more expensive A3 retractable one for the current A2 fixed stock. Still, it is the correct HK 33/53/93 stock (as oppossed to a cheaper MP5 stock with no buffer), the buffer is perfectly functional, and appearance-wise it is very good to excellent with only small spots of finish loss on the edges of the backplate, and around the locking pin holes. Personally, as nice as a retractable stocks look, I find them awkward, uncomfortable and poorly fitting unless you are wearing LBE gear or a flak vest (which is what the retractable stocks were designed to accommodate). I think most will agree that the fixed stock is superior in normal circumstances. The handguard is excellent, as is the pistol grip and trigger housing (with the exception of the normal crescent scroll mark on the left side caused by the selector lever). The trigger group assembly is excellent ++, and looks almost new. The chrome lined bore is excellent with crisp rifling. The barrel has several small spots of finish wear on the left side, and one spot about ½” wide which can be clearly seen in the photos. These marks on the barrel place the overall condition at 96% instead of what would have been 99%. Still, they are superficial only. Overall this rifle is an excellent example of German precision and some of the world's finestgunmaking technology. It should provide the user with many decades of reliable, accurate shooting. I have numerous used 25, 30, and 40 round HK magazines that I will sell for very reasonable prices to the buyer only. Price includes S&H. Three day inspection period with 100% money back guarantee if not satisfied, no questions asked, but buyer pays S&H if returned.
