H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic

Description:
H&R buffalo classic 45-70 break open with Williams rear peep and Lyman 17a front globe and track of the wolf vernier sight mounted on stock. Barrel is 32” receiver is case hardened.
This was my first 45-70. Had always wanted one and I had to wait 70 years to get one, which , in retrospect, has caused me financial hardship because I became enamored and have , in the last five years , gone through Taylor’s armi sports , pedersoli, browning highwall, H&R 1873 officers trapdoor, chapparal 1876 45-60, and uberti 1873 in 45 colt and the cimmaron colt revolver to match.
Having gotten the bug, and being old, Quigley was on bucket list, and while there last year I scored the ultimate. I got a Shiloh fitted with an MVA series 3000 scope, so my quest is over. I have the best
no need to list all the sights and molds I’ve bought in the interim from lee shaver to MVA and all in between and don’t forget all bullet molds and handles.
So, this one has become a safe queen and needs to go, a blessing and a curse.
I did not inlet the vernier because I’m not good with wood work, but I lucked up and got it pretty much right and it’s good out to 500 yards which is when I started upgrading so I’m sure it will shoot farther but haven’t put a round through it in 4 years.
Got those scratches on forearm and couple knicks and bruises but nothing major
trigger breaks at about 4 1/2- 5 lbs.
