US M1 Garand Rifle by Harrington & Richardson 1955
Description:
Serial #5643168, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle was manufactured circa 1955 and has all H&R parts: 1955 dated barrel, "HRA / .U." bolt, rear sight, modified op-rod, trigger group, hammer, and safety. The metal retains 90-92% of the parkerized finish with silvering at the muzzle, on the projections, on the bearing surfaces of the bolt, and inside the op-rod raceway. The walnut stock has a fairly crisp DOD Eagle cartouche, and retains 90% plus of an arsenal-reapplied military oil finish with some scattered light handling marks and blemishes that carry over onto the matching finish handguards. The stock compartment is empty, but a correct OD canvas M1 sling is fitted. This is a great post-Korean War H&R Garand that is in fine-excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
