Franz Sodia Hammerless Double Rifle (.458 Win Mag, First/Best Quality)

Description:
This is a Franz Sodia First Quality hammerless double rifle in .458 Winchester Magnum. It features automatic ejectors, 23-3/4" Chopper Lump barrels, false sideplates, a Greener-style crossbolt, and open sights with claw-type scope blocks. The barrels are marked "BOHLER-RASANT' and "WINCHESTER .458 MAG".

The rifle is covered in high-relief engraved Germanic scroll and African game scenes. The engraving is of master quality and extends onto the barrels at the chamber. The frame and sideplates are finished in satin grey. A heavy, bold relief of three lions is present on the left sideplate, while the right has three elephants. A cape buffalo adorns the underside of the receiver and a rhinoceros is present on the grip cap. 

The barrels sport a quarter rib with claw-mount scope blocks and a wind-drift rear sight and a ramp front sight. The wood is the best quality European walnut with beautiful fine-line checkering that is razor-sharp. It also sports a factory-installed Pachmayr black recoil pad. 

Overall, the rifle shows only slight use and handling marks. The bores are mint, the action is fine, and there is overall just some high-edge wear. It sports a Deeley release and automatic ejectors.

Payment
On firearms, we typically only accept credit cards or money orders/cashier's checks.

• Sale prices reflect a 3% cash/money order discount. This discount is not valid for credit card purchases. Add 3% to the total cost for such purchases.
• Any purchases made in the state of Kentucky incur a 6% sales tax.
• On items $4995 and up, we cannot process credit card payments. We can always easily take checks or money orders. Contact us to discuss payment options if you like.

We, in certain cases, at our discretion, may agree to allow an item to be put on layaway. Layaways must be agreed to prior to purchase. Our layaway policy is 1/3 of the final total as down payment with 60 days to pay the balance. Cancellation results in a 20% restocking fee based on the purchase price.

Shipping
We ship firearms via UPS. They must be sent to an FFL. Hand guns must travel via Air, whilst long guns and other items can go via Ground. Non-firearm accessories, such as magazines, can be shipped via USPS Priority Mail at the customer's request. We provide tracking numbers with all of our transactions. If you'd like a shipping estimate, please contact us through the and provide, at the very least, a ZIP code as to where the item would be sent.

• If paying by credit card, store policy is to ship to the billing address of the card.
• If paying by Money Order, we can ship to wherever it's legal.
• The exception is, obviously, serialized items.

Legal Policy
We can only ship items to areas in which they are legal. If you live in a more restrictive area, please check your local laws before or buying. We are, for the most part, willing to ship to the 50 states as long as it's legal. We may require proof of legality before proceeding with a transaction that is exempt from a normal law.

Serialized items must be transferred through an FFL. We do accept C&R's on any applicable items. You may have to pay your FFL a fee, which is not covered by this . NFA Information
Some items are regulated by the National Firearms Act (NFA). This includes, but is not limited to, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and suppressors. Please check with your local and state municipalities for any further regulatory requirements. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure they comply with all NFA rules and applicable laws. Such items MUST be transferred to a Class 3 FFL via a Form 3, and then transferred to you via a Form 4 from your local Class 3 dealer. The process of getting a Form 3 approved by the BATFE takes on average 6-8 weeks. Your patience is appreciated.
