FN Fn-49 Sporter 8mm Egyptian
Description: Up for your consideration is an FN Model 1949 also known as an FN-49 semi-auto rifle. Chambered in 8mm it was built in Belgium for the Egyptian Military. The gun feeds from a 10 round internal magazine very similar to an SKS type rifle using stripper clips for loading. The gun overall is in good condition and would make a great shooter. That being said the barrel has been cut from its original 23in to 19in right after where the grenade launcher mount would be located. The stock has also been modified into a sporter with a pachmyer pad on the butt of the rifle. The stock is sanded and molded to the gun and makes a great shooter. The overall metal condition is good with a lot of wear and missing finish but no rust or pitting. The barrel is in good condition outside but the bore has some slight pitting and frosting but rifling is still strong and sharp. These rifles are collectable in any condition and this would make a great addition to any military collection.
