Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.2 British rifle, unissued condition, the No.4 Mk.2. rifle features a 25" round barrel with partridge front and singer-style ladder rear sights, striated cocking piece, and 10-round box magazine. Black suncorite enamel paint across all metal surfaces, and the rifle stock is blonde beech furniture in excellent condition. Pistol grip butt with bright brass trapdoor Butt plate. All matching numbers on all numbered components. Widely regarded by many historians as the finest small arm ever made by a British Arsenal, these rifles were made at a time when the British military was preparing to transition to the L1A1(FN-FAL), and were stored in cosmoline for decades until being sold as surplus and imported by Century Arms in the early 1990's.
