This is a rare and exquisite German Back action double rifle with adjustable triggers, built in standing receiver sight as well as flip up rear sight on the rib , finely engraved receiver, hammers and lock plates, engraved muzzle, and butt plate With the exception of rechambering the rifle is 100% original finish. Stocks show handling marks but is sound in every respect, There is a small sliver of wood missing on the left front of the forend wood. Action locks up thight and operates smoothly. Bone locking lever and trigger guard extension are in fine condition. There are NO signs of rust and the bores are mirrof bright with sharp rifling. Barrels, fluid steel, measure 25". Traces of case hardening are visible in protected areas.The rifle weights 7 7/8 pounds. Length of pull is 13 1/4" to the front trigger. Both triggers are adjustible for weight of pull. The right trigger brakes cleanly at 3 3/4 pounds. Front trigger brakes at 3 1/2 pounds. Hammers are rebounding . The built in tang peep sight has provision for windage and elevation. adjustment. This rifle has been rechambered for the Winchester 405 cartridge.
