CVA Mountain Rifle-.45 Cal. Exe Condition.
Description:
This is a CVA Mountain rifle in .45 cal and is in excellent condition. The Maple stock has some striping on it as can be seen in the pics.
and the barrel has a beautiful brown tone making it one of the best I have seen. I am fairly certain this rifle started out as a kit gun due
to there being no marking as to country on the barrel. This is fairly norrmal and has been accepted as the norm over the years.
The rifles that were made in Spain all have it stamped on the barrel. It does have a hand etched group of numbers on the bottom of the barrel which appears to be a social security number and after doing a search found out that number originated in Texas. It is not shown just to maintain some privacy for the owner of that number.
The barrel is in excellent condition also with clearly defined grooves and lands and is a 1 in 66 twist making it the best for round ball shooting.
Around the lock there are no black powder burns as you would find on a well used or ever slightly used gun and if anyone wants more pics just ask.
Imperfections are shown in the pics. Small marks on stock and barrel from moving around for the last 50 years or so.
I have owned a dozen of these rifles over the years and this is the best example of this rifle I have seen. They all including the ones made in Spain will take no back seat to any other rifle in competition.
I take personal checks and various money orders etc. Let me know how you would like to pay. Shipping will be actual cost probably around $50 with insurance but will get the exact amount and let you know the total when I have your address.
I can do a 60 day layaway if needed with 25% down. Ask for details.
