RARE COLT "THE COLTSMAN" from 1959 30-06
Description:
This is a Rare SPECIAL DELUXE Colt rifle named "THE COLTSMAN". This rifle started production in 1957 as the (COLT 57) for 1 year. Then in 1958 - 1964 it was designated as The Coltsman. These actions were manufactured by either (FN early, or SAKO later), and assemblrd by Jefferson or Kodiak Manufacturing with around 5000 total built. This particular rifle was built in the first year (1959), and was built as a Special Deluxe version in 30-06 caliber. This version has the roll over cheek piece walnut stock with rosewood forend, and pistol grip cap. The stock is oil finished with nice fine line checkering on the forend and pistol grip area, with a few impressions, but no cracks or repairs. It also has the engraved hinged floorplate and trigger guard, as well as (correct CHROME sling loops from the factory). The 24" barrel features 12 groove rifling and has a fantastic bore, with crisp script and proof marks. There is one small blemish on the barrel (pic. 15). The S/N C5346 on the receiver matches that on the bolt. This rifle has a clear vintage Redfield 4X scope, with a post recticle in Weaver rings and bases. $2450.00 by PMO's, or another form of Certified Funds.
