Colt . Lightening rifle, caliber 44/40

Description:
I'm listing what's called a Colt Medium frame rifle , the Lightning , because of its ability to crank out rounds faster than the competitors lever action. Caliber 44/40, serial number 28134, Mfg'd in 1888, reblued in what year I don't know and why. It is what it is so they say ! Was that man's rifle and he chose to do it. Some fellas out there reblue them and get big bucks for em , kinda strange if you ask me. Well this guy shoots and shoots decent. Has I think factory sling swivels , rear ladder sight , and a front Beech sight .those are suppose to be worth a couple bucks on their own as well as the rear ladder sight. especially with Colts narrow Dove tail. She's got the 24" octagon barrel , metal seems to be in decent shape, lettering is all readable but no Colt logo that I can read . Still a very attractive rifle to put in your collection , display or go play Cowboy with. She's an antique so can go straight to your door, I ship US Postal service and all rifles are insured and need a signature , not left leaning against your door, which is no joke , had it happen, so you will get a tracking number to keep tabs on things. So once again I can apologize for the blueing and can only say it looks really nice along with the wood, thanks for your interest to
