Description: ****SOLD**** Scarce early Colt Model R6450 AR-15 9MM Carbine. This Colt was produced in the first run of this model in the 1980's. The lower receiver is an non-fenced SP1 type, with pre ban features including bayonet lug. It features a direct blow back system, 16.1" chrome lined barrel with 1:10 twist, no forward assist, and two-position collapsible stock. This model was Colt's answer to the HK MP5 that dominated the Law Enforcement market at the time. They were known to be very reliable and had the advantage of only requiring training personnel on one platform for rifle and sub guns. The R6450's have always been hard to find, and sought after. Colt's announcement that they will no longer produce AR-15's for the civilian market has already produced a sharp increase in prices on all models. This rifle has been fired and shows light wear. This rifle would be a great investment or fun shooter. Includes (1 each) factory Colt (32) & (25) round magazines. Sorry no box or paper work.
