We are offering for sale a very early 1964 COLT AR-15 SP1 semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56mm (.223 caliber). This is a FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION rifle with 3 DIGIT SERIAL NUMBER. The rifle remains in very good preowned condition but appears to have been used very little. HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER EXAMPLE!
20" barrel is very good with light surface wear; Bore remains bright with crisp rifling. This example features the 3 Prong flash supressor. Barrel sight intact. The Upper and Lower receivers show light handling marks; One spot on carry handle shows thinning to finish. Gun functions flawlessly. No issues noted. The original stock and handguard are very good to excellent with light handling wear. Absolutely no damage noted. Original 10rd COLT magazine included.
