San Farncisco Police Colt Lightning .44-40 Serial # 377

Description:
Colt San Francisco Police Medium Frame .44 WCF pump rifle.  A total of 401 all produced in 1898 with 26" round Bbl's with varnished walnut stocks with case colored crescent steel butt plates. High polish Colt blue with Rampant Colt monogram on left side of receiver. Serial numbered in their own sequence (#377)  and marked "S.F.P." on lower tang with serial number/ Standard Colt 2 line Bbl, address with 44CAL, over chamber. Condition, Exceptionally fine with over 96% finish on Barrel , magazine and receiver with crisp markings. Stocks are excellent with light impressions and butt plate is very fine with case colors muted. Mechanically excellent with brilliant bore. One of the finest example extant . Antique.
