Model 1842 Springfield Musket. Dated 1852, 69 Cal.
Unissued condition.
Description: This is the nicest Model 1842, I have ever owned. It has 1 problem with a crack at the rear of the lockplate. I think a little glue would make it invisable, but I will leave that to the buyer. All Cartouches and stamps are clear and easy to read. The Bore is smooth and untouched from the factory. It is so clean it looks like a Reproduction. It is unconditionally Guarenteed Origional. Money back for any reason after 7 days. Many of these were stored in Armories when the 1855 Springfield was introduced. Many were rifled and had fixed rear sights added. Some Regimental comanders preferred the smoothbore because it could fire the 69 Cal Buck and Ball cartridge. Use the photo's to judge condition. I can take more if needed. Shipping is $35.00 to the U.S. only. Price is $2,150.00 SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: Springfield Armory Model: 1842 Musket Serial Number: N/A Barrel Length: 42 Bore: Smooth Chambers: 1 Condition: Extra Fine Metal Condition: Like new Wood Condition: Dings and 1 crack Bore Condition: Very Fine Barrels: 1 Barrel Type: Round Action: Single Triggers: 1 Stock: Walnut Manufacture Date: 1852 |
