BRITISH MODEL 1852 ENFIELD PATTERN CIVIL WAR MUSKET
Description: British Tower Marked Pattern 1853 Enfield Three Band Percussion Rifle-Musket with 39 inch round barrel. Original sights. Rear sight is damaged but functional. Original ramrod. Still has the chain with the nipple protector. Lock plate has the Crown and "1863" over "Tower" on it. Overall metal is gray/brown with some lighter areas of cleaning. This is a 3-band percussion style musket with the brass buttplate and trigger guard. Original sling swivels. Complete with a bayonet that looks like it has been polished at one time. Scabbard is in good condition with a brass tip. Mechanics are good. Someone has grafted the front portion of the wood with wood from another musket. Well done. Some repaired cracks in the stock as well. This Musket has been out there and seen some action!
