22 1/2 inch barel.......577 Percusion Caliber. 

Made by Barnett in London, England around 1861.  No other English gun maker could more appropriately be called the "Gun Maker to the Cofederacy" than the London firm of John Edward Barnett and Sons. 

During the course of the Civil War, Barnett delivered thousands of rifles to the Confederacy.

"Barnett/London" is stamped on the lock......."Barnett/Gunmakers/London" is stamped within a oval near the butt plate. 
Two Crown 1 stamps are behind the trigger guard tang.
