"U.S. Civil War contract Model 1861 rifled musket by Parkers' Snow &Co .58 caliber (AL10042)

NSN, made in 1863, .58 caliber, 40"" round barrel. Lock plate is marked ""Eagle/US-PARKERS' SNOW & CO./MERIDEN.CONN"". Musket is in untouched attic condition with the ram-rod missing as is the bolster screw and rear sight. Action is tight had holds at half and full cock. Bore is dark with oxidation visible in the grooves, rifling is present. One of the 15,000 muskets manufactured during the civil war!
