Antique Iron Patchbox 30” Barrel Percussion
Description: SHARPS NEW MODEL 1859 MILITARY RIFLE Union Army Hartford CIVIL WAR Antique Iron Patchbox 30” Barrel Percussion Here we present an antique Sharps New Model 1859 Rifle, made circa 1859-63 in Hartford, Connecticut. Over 100,000 Sharps rifles and carbines were purchased and used by the federal government during the American Civil War. This is one of the iconic rifles of Western lore, as they were handy, accurate, powerful and reliable guns, and many went to the Western Frontier as trappers, explorers and settlers moved that way. They experienced some of the most exciting times in American history during the Indian Wars, the settling of the West, and the connecting of the coasts with the Transcontinental Railroad. The overall condition is good. Gray patina. The action is strong. The barrel has been smoothbored and it is quite dirty and somewhat pitted. The walnut stock shows use and remains in good shape; there is a small graft at the toe of the stock that looks very old and is not easily noticeable. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 30 inches. Caliber: .62 Smoothbore Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $3200 #230937 Price: $3,200.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
