Early M1859 brass Sharps carbine

Description:
** SALE PENDING ** Nice early M1859 brass mounted Sharps carbine. No cartouche, good bore (but dirty), mechanically great. Stocks are both solid with no major cracks or chips (one small crack ahead of front patchbox screw). The breachblock appears to be from a M1863 (has large cleanout screw head on left side of block) but looks as though it has been with the carbine for a long time as the patina from the block to the triggerguard match the patina of the rest of the carbine perfectly. Well used but well taken care of early and desireable brass Sharps carbine.
