Description: A U.S. Civil War Military Issued Palmer Bolt Action Carbine In Excellent Plus To Mint Condition. Made by E.G. Lamson And Company, Windsor, Vermont. Only 1,001 were made in 1865. All original and complete. The carbine has excellent plus to mint metal and markings throughout. All edges are crisp as new. The barrel retains all of its original brown factory finish on it. The lock, hammer, front barrel band, trigger guard, saddle bar, and butt plate all return their original vivid factory case colors on them. The barrel band and butt plate still have dried factory oil on them. The wood on it is excellent plus to mint with sharp and crisp edges. There is a perfect "MM" U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on the backside opposite the lock. It still retains its factory oil luster on it. The bore is mint and bright and the action is perfect. This Is A Very High Condition Example Of A U.S. Civil War Military issued Palmer Bolt Action Carbine. It Definitely Belongs In A Very Fine Collection!
