Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Trombone Grade III "Fox and Hound" Pump Action .22S/L/LR Signed by J. Baerten
Description: This gun is from my Dad and I's personal collection of Trombone rifles that we have accumulated over the last 15 years. In my opinion these are the finest factory engraved Trombones ever produced by Browning. There is some competition with the Custom Shop high grades in the standard Grade III pattern as well as the Grade IV but these have a look and feel that those guns cannot compete with. The coin finished action is tastefully engraved and elegantly detailed, signed by the head of the engraving department at the time Jose Baerten underneath the left scene. The wood is a very attractive orange/red color with great figure and exceptional fitment to both the receiver and the buttplate. Only 60 of these guns (not including any prototypes) were produced by the factory and this particular example is #28. A truly stunning piece that you will not likely improve upon in condition or quality! Comes with the takedown case that is also in excellent condition. Vintage firearms are a passion of mine.
