#6 of 200 Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning Trombone Australian Centennial Pump Action .22S/L/LR Signed by J. H. Diet
Description: A very rare opportunity to own one of these scarce factory engraved Trombone Rifle variations. Only 200 of these guns (not including any prototypes) were reportedly produced by the factory and this particular example is #6. They were produced in 2 runs where the first show #X of 100 and the second run shows #XXX of 200. If you can imagine, a large portion of these rifles were sent overseas to Australia for sale, making them quite scarce in the US. Also of note that Browning did not complete the full series of some of these limited production Custom Shop guns, meaning that there is likely not truly 100 of these guns in existence. The rifle is very tastefully engraved with an Australian themed game scene on the right and gold inlaid outline of Australia on the left. The stock is high gloss finished with good color and grain throughout. A truly stunning piece that you will not likely improve upon in condition or quality! Comes with the original full length case that was only offered with this variation of the Trombone rifle (Tan edge caps and brown body). Vintage firearms are a passion of mine.
